CVA as Subconsultant, provided one complete inspection team for in-depth inspection as part of the major construction of the two, two-mile long twin structures of the causeway. These repairs are ongoing till 2010 to extend the life and safety of the bridge. Our team inspected the northbound bridge, including stringer, girder and truss spans. They visually inspected the structural steel for corrosion, deterioration, section loss, cracking of metal or welds and any other deficiencies. Inspection was accomplished through either above deck equipment and/or waterborne barge and lift from below the bridge. Findings were documented with digital photographs and notes.
