List of Surveying Projects 

Rehabilitation of 3 bridges in Central Park, NY – NYCDOT – CVA as Subconsultant will be conducting the surveying of 3 bridges in Central Park.  

Mohawk River and Erie Canal, New York Flood Insurance Study Stream Survey – FEMA - CVA as Subconsultant has conducted the Hydraulic Survey on Mohawk River and Erie Canal, NY as part of the Flood Insurance Study for FEMA. CVA  provided two Surveyors and related GPS work for a total of 81 natural cross sections and structures including bridges, dams, and culverts. USSTRUCT and DSSTRUCT shots are required for bridges and culverts. Historic watermark (HIS) shots if available are also collected. Local residents or commercial vendors, usually near structure or sections being surveyed were contacted for information.  

Rehabilitation of the Woodbury Toll Plaza, High Speed EZ Pass Lanes, Phase 1, NYSTA - CVA provided two surveyors for the survey during construction of the High Speed EZ Pass which included establishing baselines, benchmarks, conducting topographic surveys, right of way mapping, row monumentation, cross sections, horizontal controls, establishing centerline etc. Other services included calculations to reduce/balance raw data and presentation of data in plotted or digital form.  

Design and CSS for the Rehabilitation of the Parks Department Bridges, Borough of Queens, NYC Dept. of TransportationCVA as Subconsultant provided Boundary and Topographic survey services for this project involving the

Highland Park Pedestrian Bridge and the Motor Parkway Bridge over Hollis Court Boulevard. Work included as-built survey of the existing bridge and surrounding areas, and topography of the same including all approaches to the bridges. 

Rockland County, New York Flood Insurance Study Stream Survey – FEMA - CVA as Subconsultant conducted the Hydraulic Survey in Rockland County, NY as part of the Flood Insurance Study for FEMA. The survey included the following areas:a)    Golf Course Brookb)    Pascack Brookc)    West Branch Saddle River d)    North Pascack BrookCVA provided two Surveyors and related GPS work for a total of 134 natural cross sections and structures including bridges, dams, and culverts. USSTRUCT and DSSTRUCT shots are required for bridges and culverts. Historic watermark (HIS) shots if available are also collected. Local residents or commercial vendors, usually near structure or sections being surveyed were contacted for information.  

Site Survey for the Veterans Medical Center, Castle Point NY -  CVA as Subconsultant provided one Survey team to survey the curbs and the parking garage for the Contractor.

Site Survey for the Bear Mountain Bridge, Bear Mountain State Park, NY - CVA as Subconsultant provided one team to conduct a field survey for the purpose of measuring the slope distance between the “rock anchor” structure, at the southwesterly side of the bridge and the steel anchor at the top of the southwesterly tower and monitor the position of the southwesterly tower during the jacking operation at the Bear Mountain Bridge.
